Media-Space premise

The objects of the association are:

Media-Space Perth Inc is a non profit arts ogranisation based in Perth Western Australia, dedicated to the development production and promotion of experimental electronic arts research.

To this end Media-Space Perth Inc embraces four key structural elements which are:

(A) Media-Space is a mechanism to facilitate the creation and production of art dealing with emerging new technology art works. Media-Space Projects will also engage in public projects, publishing and exhibitions.

(B) Media-Space The collective is designed to facilitate cross institutional research and development. Media-Space will offer resources, workshops and critical advice to those engaged in the production of experimental arts projects.

(C) Media-Space is a public forum for the critique, dissemination and discussion of current issues related to the emergent art forms.

(D) Media-Space takes responsibility for the original conceptualization, oversight and advocacy of Biennale of Electronic Arts Perth (BEAP) and will continue to actively form relationships with major organisations and institutions that have the capacity to produce and facilitate the event. Media-Space’s prime function vis a vis BEAP is to ensure that the event is research driven and focused.
